Like many Chinese children, Ming grows up hearing a warning from her mother: never go out on the night of the Ghost Festival. Now 18 years old, Ming feels like an outsider in the small German town where she lives. On a midsummer night, after a disastrous party, she encounters strange beings. In this surreal moment, she begins to understand who she truly is.
